Infertility is the inability to conceive after a year of trying despite having regular unprotected sex (most experts suggest at least one year of trying).

About 85% of couples will conceive naturally within one year, about one third of them within three months. Another 5% will conceive naturally within the following twelve months. Women become less fertile as they get older.
